1.        Contest is open to the general public as long as all safety & club rules / regulations are met.  Contestants enter at their own risk.

2.        
ALL PULLERS Must wear DOT approved Helmet.

3.       Children 16yrs. & younger Must  Have 2 Spotters. Spotters can NOT touch tractor once in motion Unless,  Driver is in harms way & said spotters need to shut it down
to prevent danger. Child must be able to steer own tractor.

4.        Tractor MUST be operated in safe manner at ALL times. No horseplay, riding double, reckless or unsafe driving will be tolerated.

5.        All decisions by JDP officials are final.  Any inappropriate controversy with JDP officials will be handled as deemed necessary and can/or will result in immediate
dismissal from JDP Event(s).  Please be Respectful! Issues can & will be resolved peacefully. Remember they are VOLUNTEERS.

6.        Inappropriate behavior will NOT be tolerated!  JDP is a family oriented event put together for fun, friends & family time.  We aimed to maintain it!

7.        No alcohol or fireworks allowed.  Drivers, if caught drinking / under the influence, will NOT be allowed to participate.

8.        All animals must be leashed at all times.  JDP will not assume responsibility or liability for your pets or their behavior.  Pet owner accepts total and sole liability for their
pet upon pet attendance.

9.        All Drivers must sign liability waivers, NO EXCEPTIONS

10.        Driver under the age of 18 must have Parental /guardian consent form on file & Parent / Guardian must be present.

11.        Spectators are responsible for proper management of their children.  Spectators & children are NOT allowed to climb on or touch tractors.  This is not only to ensure
everyone’s safety, but also respect for someone else’s property.

12.        All tractors are subject to safety, engine and / or fuel checks as deemed necessary by officials & are subject to disqualification if declining to summit tractor.

13.        No portion of tractor may interfere with the hitch of sled during pull.  Chain and kill switches must be easily hooked without interference.

14.        All tractors MUST have a Tether (Disconnect /Kill Switch) attached to rear of tractor & must be accessible to be hooked to transfer sled.  Positioned as to not
interfere with hooking to transfer sled.

15.        All tractor MUST have an operational ON/OFF, key switch or kill switch accessible on or near dash of tractor.

16.        8,000 RPM limit to all tractors EXCEPT in 900lb Stock Class (4200 RPM) & Open Class 1050lb

17.        RPM limits may be tested per officials request at any time.  Any refusal will constitute immediate disqualification.

18.        All entry fees must be paid before pulling.  Entry fees are $15.00 per hook in each event.

19.        For the safety of the Children that cannot reach clutch, pedal, or throttle, Tractor must have a secondary kill switch accessible to both spotters.

20.        The weight limit in each class is determined by totaling the whole amount of the tractor, weights, and driver combined. Combination of these, must weigh exactly the
weight for the class pulling in or less.

21.        Combining distance points between multiple tractors is NOT permitted.  Distance points are awarded to each individual Driver / Tractor combo.

22.        Drivers can Trophy 1 (one) time per class.

23.        If 2 drivers are pulling on same tractor, in same weight class, only one Trophy / points position will be awarded & it must be specified at time of sign-in which puller is
designated for trophy/points.

24.        Weigh in can be effective either prior to and / or immediately after pull.  Determined by officials, time & conditions.  Drivers are to go directly to designate area of
weigh-master/officials decision.   JDP officials have the right to re-weigh at any time.  If puller declines call for re-weighing immediate disqualification will be determined.

25.        There will be a 5lb (five) pound variance from class’s maximum weight. Example:  650lb can weigh no more than 655lb. If caught over weight driver will be
disqualified for that event.  First offense then applied.  Upon 2nd offense, puller will be disqualified at that event & 2 consecutive pulls.  3rd offense, JD holds right to
disqualify puller for the rest of the pulling season.

26.        Status positions in pulling order are as follows:  “ON TRACK” means you are the one pulling right NOW.  “ON DECK” means you are the one pulling next in line.  “IN
THE HOLE” means you are the one 2nd to pull behind puller on track.  IT IS THE DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE TRACTOR IS READY FOR “ON TRACK”
STATUS & REPORT ALL PROBLEMS.

27.        3 Minute Rule:  Driver has 3 minutes to be on track once that position is called.  IF driver doesn’t meet 3-minute rule disqualification is determined.  If mechanical
error incurs driver has right to request drop down status or 3-minute rule re-starts.  After initial start, driver has no more than 2 attempts.

28.        Mechanical errors & status - If puller incurs problems and needs to drop down to the end pull in their class, driver must seek request from JDP officials.  Once final
position has been called for that weight class driver has 3 minutes to the end of class is declared.

29.        Safety Mark:  There is a 25ft.  Shut down line – recognized by markers.  Drivers if incurring mechanical problems etc… Before the rear of the sled reaches the 25ft.  
Mark & you shut down, Driver may restart.  Out of bounds tractor exception to this rule.

30.        Out of Bounds – Any portion of tractor touching or by passing boundary line during pull any where on track, results in disqualification.  Sled may go out of bounds and
not result in disqualification.

31.        First Puller is “Test Puller”.  He / She may accept their first pull and keep that distance or they can decline and drop down to re-pull in last pulling position, accepting
the re-pull as their final distance score.    Exception:  Option to turn down test pull is voided if tractor goes out of bounds.

32.        To Protest or when being protested all Protest procedures must be met.  Disorderly or rude conduct will not be tolerated! Protest procedure will be handed out along
with JDP rules and regulations.  If need to seek an officials for Protest, ask announcer for Tina or Chad Smith.

33.        An illegal tractor must be proven legal before being allowed to compete again.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

34.        No swerving side to side tolerated.  Driver must steer as straight as possible.  Drivers may steer to prevent out of bounds situation. Driver’s caught being intentionally
reckless will be disqualified.  JDP’s officials are somewhat lenient towards the younger class pullers as this is a learning curve for them.

35.        No bouncing in seat.  Drivers may lean to assist in control of tractor but cannot bounce.

36.        Driver must keep one hand on steering wheel at ALL Times.  Safety… enough said?

37.        If anything falls off the tractor during the pull or leaks, tractor is disqualified, unless behind 25ft.  Marker and driver recognizes it  & shuts down before end of sled
reaches marker.

38.        No shifting of gears allowed or jerking the sled while pulling.

39.        Using the edge of the fender as a grasp point to obtain leaning leverage will result in disqualification.

40.        The Flag person is in Total control once pull is underway.  Please pay attention to the flag person.

41.        If you are RED flagged, you must STOP IMMEDIATELY!  Red flags are not only for pulling errors.  Safety first, watch your flag person!

42.        Officials / Flag Person have the right to shut you down if they feel the driver is out of control, in danger or trying to prevent danger.  This is to ensure safety to driver,
officials & spectators!

43.        Any driver attempting to leave under Red Flag will be disqualified.

44.        Any disqualification on first attempt bars any second attempt.

45.        Hooking to sled:   For safety purposes, Driver must have tractor in Neutral position & tractor must be pushed back to sled.  Driver must have hands off everything to
ensure safety of JDP crew, Exceptions:  Bolens tractors due to lock-up differential.

46.        Class pulling order will be determined upon track conditions for that day.

47.        Pulling order for each class will be determined by random draw at time of sign-in.

48.        If tractor is disqualified in a pull off, that tractor is automatically last in the pull off order.

49.        All Pullers must start from a tight hitch, no jerking sled.

50.        Scratching from a class before its start shall constitute a refund of the entry fee.

51.        Mower attachments are NOT permitted.

52.        Driver must wear proper attire.  Must have regular shoes,  (NO opened toes or heels) long pants,  & shirts.  For driver safety all outer accessories shall be removed,
hanging belts, chains, ankle bracelets etc….

53.        If there is a tie for year end standings in a class, Winner will be determined by PULL OFF>

54.        Puller of the Year – Distance Champion will be awarded to the individual tractor/driver combo in each weight class that has accumulated the greatest distances.

55.        It is mandatory that all drivers attend drivers meeting.

56.        Cheating in any form will result in loss of points and may also include termination from future JDP events.

57.        Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification and /or removal from event(s).

58.        Track officials can order an inspection on any tractor at any time that they feel the tractor is operating illegally. Officials Do Not require payment of protest fees.

59.        Tractors must be in good mechanical condition and will be subject to inspections.

60.        Tractor must look like a tractor; there will be some modifications allowed, due to complications in locating original manufactured tractors, which are complete. MUST
HAVE: Hood, Secure seat, Fenders, Belt, Chain, Drive shaft and /or clutch guards. Any questions on modifications seek officials.

61.        No aluminum frame rails.

62.        All tractors must have working brakes and steering.

63.        No Stroker Cranks.

64.        Rear Axel must be garden tractor equipment.

65.        No more than 23 HP twin cylinders…. 4 - stroke flathead, OHV, & lawn garden engines ONLY.

66.        Strictly pumped fuel ONLY **NO EXTRAS** Nitrous, Methanol, or jet fuel etc… will NOT be allowed.  Open Class, allowing alcohol but Puller MUST HAVE; Fire suit,
helmet, dry fire extinguisher, and a tether.

67.        Engines rapping over 4100 RPMs  -   head straps recommended

68.        Tires not to exceed, factory stamped or molded (or sold as) 26 x 12 x 12 – cut or uncut, bar tires allowed ATV tires allowed.

69.        Front weight rack is NOT to exceed 6 foot from center of rear axels to front of weights; this includes weights themselves.

70.        Rear weight brackets and weights are not to extend to the rear over 24 inches from center of the rear axle, and be no wider than 4 foot 6 inches.

71.        Weights must be stationary, no cable sliding weights permitted.

72.        All weights must be attached in such a fashion so they do not fall off or drag the track.

73.        Engines must be stock appearing.

74.        Intake standoffs allowed.

75.        Velocity stacks allowed.

76.        Carburetors must be lawn and garden decent.  No dual carburetors allowed.

77.        Steel flywheels allowed.  Must have guard if ungoverned.

78.        Up to .060 over bore allowed.

79.        Tractors exhaust must be secured properly.

80.        Seats must be secured properly.

81.        No torque converter clutches.

82.        Engines must have all sheet metal, mainly fly wheel tin.

83.        Porting and Polishing is allowed.

84.        If you are Not running a governor or your motor revs over 4100 rpms, You MUST have scatter shields.

85.        Engine compartment is to be enclosed or have 1/8th inch steel or aluminum on sides of engine parallel to crank shaft.

86.        Must have rear stabilizer or wheelie bars.  These must be rigid and able to support the weight of the tractor & must extend no less than 6 inches off rear face of the
back tire and no higher than 6 inches. If you change tires for another class, Please make sure your wheelie bars properly accommodate for the difference.  For you safety,
have then re-inspected.

87.        Must have rear hitch.  Hitch has to be stationary or able to lock stationery.  Hitch height may not exceed no more than 13 inches and be accessible to be hooked.

88.        Must have your own safe clevis with a hole of at least 1 ½ inch opening and be rigid in all directions.

89.        No tire chains, dual wheel set-ups or half – tracks.

90.        Tractors are not required to have reverse.
Rules are designed to provide for the Safe and Orderly conduct
of all our garden tractor pulling events. These rules are initiated to reduce the risk of injury to both pullers and spectators.
It is the obligation of each participant to ensure that his or her conduct and equipment comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
These Rules and regulations may be altered,  as needed to Best ensure and provide Safety to ALL individuals involved!
